A Global F1 Series for Marriott Bonvoy
Overview
As part of Marriott Bonvoy’s partnership with Mercedes AMG Petronas during the Formula 1 season, a collection of destination led films were created around race weekends in cities including Barcelona, London, Amsterdam, Doha, Milan and the UAE.
These films bring together city experiences, Marriott properties and the energy of Formula 1 into a consistent visual style that travels from one location to the next.
LP Films worked across these cities to capture each destination in a way that felt considered, cinematic and connected to the wider series.
A Visual Language That Travels
Although every city offered something different, the films share a recognisable visual identity.
This came from approaching each location with the same filmmaking principles:
Calm, elegant establishing shots of the destination
Carefully composed hotel and architectural cinematography
Natural interview moments with the talent
Fluid movement through streets, markets and public spaces
Integration of race weekend footage to anchor the story in F1
The result is a body of work that feels cohesive without feeling repetitive.
Production
Filming across multiple international cities during live race weekends required a consistent production approach that could adapt quickly to different environments while maintaining the same visual quality.
Each location involved a mix of public city filming, controlled hotel interiors, interview setups and fast moving lifestyle sequences, often within tight time windows around the F1 schedule.
A lightweight but cinematic camera setup allowed movement between markets, streets, hotel spaces and transport while still achieving a polished, editorial look. Interviews were kept simple and repeatable across cities to maintain continuity throughout the series.
This balance between agility and cinematic control is what allowed the films to feel refined regardless of location.
Working Across Multiple Cities
Maintaining the same level of production quality across multiple countries and race weekends was key to the series.
Each city required:
Consistent interview setups
Cinematic hotel interiors and design details
Fast moving lifestyle coverage in public spaces
Careful integration of F1 footage
A pacing and edit style that felt aligned across the series
Applying the same production discipline in every location allowed the films to feel premium and editorial regardless of where they were shot.
Post Production Style
The edit balances elegance with energy.
Slower cinematic sequences inside hotels and experiences contrast with faster city movement and F1 moments. Subtle transitions and freeze frame moments help guide the viewer between locations while maintaining a recognisable style throughout the series.
The Result
The final films blend destination, luxury hospitality and race weekend excitement into a cohesive set of travel stories for Marriott Bonvoy.
This project reflects the ability to work across multiple international cities while maintaining a consistent cinematic approach and visual identity for a global brand.
